General Comments.

The forum is vague. I understand everyone wants to limit spam, maintain privacy etc. but we are also limiting the functional use of the board. Also not many know how to access.

IMHO
Any member should be able to start a luncheon topic or event outside TV.
Add option for email on member list. Some people don't frequent boards but everyone checks emails. It would be optional to display.

NEWSLETTER. We need a monthly/bimonthly/quarterly newsletter. Should have a signup on our website, FB, and Discord. There is too much information that needs shared and monthly meeting does not cover those that are seasonal and cannot attended every meeting. Too much information is lost.

Contribution paragraph/article from President(s)/and or members. A member spotlight, brief synapsis from DM's from campaigns, either at Rec Centers, in homes, game crazy etc, and calendar for upcoming month.
Most important WANTED section - Games and Players and requirement (ie village resident)

Great ideas.

I'm already doing a newsletter for the Astronomy Club. I'm not going to take up another! I'm running at redline with what I'm doing for both clubs now. I've love to have one if someone volunteers! https://vlgastroclub.org/newsletter/

As far as opening up the security, I want a few of us to maintain the structure for the forums, but anyone can start a thread. That means things will be where people are looking for them.

You started this thread, there's a forum for game announcements, etc. Were you not able to start a thread there?
